Day 10: Return home

We had to wake up pretty early in order to walk to the train station to catch the train to the airport. It was raining (the only day we really had any rain) and we made a few wrong turns. We were worried that we'd miss the train and have to wait 15 minutes for a new one; however, the train was 5 minutes late, so we just made it!

At the airport, Claire wanted to change her pants since they had gotten wet in the walk to the station:
Here's Brian, waiting in line to check in:
Gloria was kind enough to go to the airport with us to see us off. After this, she took the train back to Liege. It's the last picture I have of her here:
We had to make two connections, one of which was quite tight, so we didn't really expect that things would go smoothly. But we were pleasantly surprised. The flight from Europe landed 30 minutes early in America, which gave us the cushion we needed to catch our next flight.

This is a view out the plane window. I'm really not sure where, but something I saw made me want to take this picture!
And that was our trip. We had a great time and it was so wonderful to see Gloria again! She is having a wonderful year, but we can't wait to have her back with us -- only about a month!
