Day 5: Jewish Quarter/Vysehrad

On Sunday, we ate our hotel breakfast, then braved the rain to take in some sights. We'd already seen most of the major Prague sights, so the rest of our trip was more relaxed.

We walked around the Jewish Quarter; here is Brian looking at the map next to a synagogue.

Then, we went to St. Agnes Convent and visited an impressive collection of Medieval Art. Museums are always a nice way to pass a rainy day!

We had lunch at Yessi Cafe, which Brian had noticed the day before. They had a daily vegetarian pasta that we wanted to try (delicious!) Here I am in Yessi Cafe:
Outside of Yessi Cafe, they were setting up the Christmas markets. We would miss this by a few days.

Then we walked over to the National Museum. We decided not to tour the museum, but here is a picture of Wenceslas Square as seen from the front of the National Museum:

We walked over to Vysehrad and were able to find it! The church on premises was very beautiful, and full of relics. There was also a cemetary which was very much like the one we'd visited earlier. From Vysehrad area:

The Cathedral of St. Paul and Peter, as seen from the approach:Walking back to our hotel, we ran into the Dancing House, quite by accident.

We were getting sick of eating in restaurants all of the time. Our hotel was right next to a mall that contained a grocery store. We went to the grocery store and purchased some items so that we could have a little picnic in our hotel room. Here is Brian bringing home a bag of groceries, like a real Praguer!
